In light of the developing spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the UK and elsewhere, the team at OGUK and Step Change in Safety have been evaluating our upcoming events. A decision has been made to cancel the Offshore Safety Awards 2020 

Nominations will reopen later this year for the 2021 Offshore Safety Awards. 


Award for Safety Representative of the Year

This award is to recognise an enthusiastic and committed elected Safety Representative that has demonstrably influenced the safety agenda, culture and or behaviours at their worksite.

 


Award for Welfare and Wellbeing

New for 2020! This award is for an individual(s) or team who have actively engaged in improving their worksite and or company approach to employee welfare and wellbeing.

 


Award for Workforce Engagement

This award is for an individual or team which has actively embraced engagement with its workers on safety matters, showing how a commitment to worker involvement in safety has contributed to an improvement in safety performance.

 


Award for Operational Integrity

This award is for an individual(s) or team who have positively influenced or improved a process system in the area of risk the management, system efficiency, reliability and or operability through the introduction of a modification and or innovative solution.

 


Award for Sharing and Learning

This award is for the individual(s) or team who can demonstrate a practical example of how they introduced, influenced or enhanced a learning and sharing culture within the area of Safety at their employing company, place of work or within OGUK and or Step Change in Safety.

The contribution to Safety could be through their participation in a workgroup over a sustained period of time, their involvement in developing and introducing guidance or compilation of a high value learning opportunity.

 


Award for Maritime Safety

This award is for the individual(s) or team who have demonstrated a passion for safety through the introduction of an innovative solution, revised or new working process which has had a positive influence on the safety culture, behaviours and or performance at their place of work or within their organisation.
